Biography
ANNA BELL HUGHES
Anna Bell Hughes, daughter of Ethel Gladis Lacy and Robert Andrew Bench, was born September 9, 1930 in Benton, Arkansas and passed from this life on April 14, 2012 in Plano, Texas. Anna spent the majority of her adult life in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she was a fixture at the Tuxedo Assembly of God Church and managed the nursery. Anna was preceded in death by two veteran husbands, John Henry Watts who passed in 1978 and Jimmie Lee Hughes who passed in 2008.
Anna is survived by her siblings Tom Bench and wife Rita, Mary (Bench) Watts and husband Andy, Perlie Cummings, and Bobbie (Bench) Howard and husband Buzz; son, Wayne Watts and wife Cindy; daughter Susan Hughes; four granddaughters, Brooke (Watts) Lopez and husband Martin, Ragan (Watts) Warner and husband Jared, Kendal Hughes, and Faith Kimball; two grandsons Devin Hughes and Shawn Kimball; and one great grandson Callen Lopez. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and those who she loved like family and children who called her Grannie.
Services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, 1600 SE Washington Boulevard, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm in Miami, Oklahoma at the Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to further her legacy in the nursery at the Tuxedo Assembly of God Church 3503 E. Tuxedo Blvd. Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.
