Biography

Mamie G. Cessna, 87, resident of Delaware, died Monday evening in Bartlesville.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday April 29, 2011,in the Ball Cemetery with Brothers Sam & Troy Ritchie officiating. Graveside services will be directed by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.

Mamie Gladys Cessna was born on January 20, 1924 at Delaware the daughter of Alvin Bus and Maudie Mae (Webb) Parker. She was raised at Sallisaw and came back to this area when she was thirteen. She married Preston Alonzo Lakey in 1939 and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1992. She then married Orlo Thomas Cessna on August 28, 1994 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2006. She had been a Certified Nurse Aid for most of her adult life and retired from the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Childers Community Church

Mamie is survived by three daughters, Sharon Roger of Lenapah, Barbara Sue Jackson of Delaware and Janice Clark of South Coffeyville, two sons Donald Earl Lakey of South Coffeyville and Lonnie Charles Lakey of Coffeyville, Kansas, twenty four grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sons, Preston Wayne and Jackie Lee Lakey six brothers and sisters, one grandchild and one great granddaughter
